AgriPicnic 2025: Celebrating Achievements and Strengthening Bonds Among Smart Agriculture Researchers at Ngandong Beach

Yogyakarta, May 12, 2025. An atmosphere filled with warmth and joy surrounded the Agri Picnic event organized by the Smart Agriculture research team at Ngandong Beach, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta on May 11, 2025. The event not only celebrated the graduation of two accomplished students, Hafidz Ebril Perdana and Zuhrotul Maulidah, but also served as an introduction for new SmartAgri 25 researchers and an encouragement for the team completing data collection and research proposal writing.
More than 20 researchers and lecturers, including Dr. Andri Prima Nugroho and Ardan Wiratmoko, M.Sc., attended the event. Ngandong Beach, with its natural beauty, provided the perfect backdrop. Despite the scorching weather, participants remained enthusiastic, enjoying their time together, socializing, and sharing experiences. In addition to enjoying the beach's beauty, various exciting activities were held, such as beach volleyball, festive fun games, and a touching session of messages and reflections from Hafidz and Zuhrotul, who expressed their gratitude and hopes for the future. The children who attended also felt safe and comfortable playing on the beach, which provided sheltered areas and food stalls.

After enjoying the beauty of Ngandong Beach, the event continued with a dinner together at Omah Kayu Restaurant in Wonosari, Gunung Kidul. This event was not merely a graduation celebration, but also an important moment to strengthen the bonds of kinship and collaboration among Smart Agriculture researchers. It is hoped that the success of these students will inspire the next generation of researchers to continue contributing to the advancement of smart agriculture in Indonesia.
