SmartAgri UGM Wraps Up Three Days at INAGRITECH 2026 with New Connections
On the closing day at JIExpo Kemayoran, the SmartAgri UGM team capped three days at INAGRITECH 2026 with steady booth traffic, hands-on demos, and a fresh round of contacts and collaboration talks.

Jakarta, July 30, 2026. After three days on the show floor, the Smart Agriculture Research Center (SmartAgri) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) wrapped up its participation in INAGRITECH 2026, Indonesia's largest agricultural technology exhibition, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. The final day kept booth A2K4-04 busy to the end, closing the event on the same note it began: steady interest in homegrown precision-agriculture research.
Across the three days, the SmartAgri booth welcomed a broad mix of visitors, from farmers, students, and academics to industry practitioners and prospective partners. What started as curiosity on the opening day matured into hands-on demonstrations and technical discussions, and by the final day, into a growing list of contacts to follow up with.
Three Days, One Throughline
The team's message stayed consistent throughout: research developed on campus should reach the field. Visitors explored SmartAgri's work across indoor farming, UAV and multispectral mapping, sensor-based crop monitoring, and agro-informatics, with team members walking them through scale models, field maps, and the sensing instruments the center builds and uses in its research.

Interest in the center's remote-sensing work was especially strong, with several visitors keen to understand how aerial imagery and field data can translate into better decisions on real farms.
New Connections to Build On
If the earlier days were about explaining the technology, the closing day was about building relationships. Business cards changed hands, follow-up meetings were floated, and a number of conversations pointed toward possible collaboration on developing and applying agricultural technology in Indonesia.

As INAGRITECH 2026 drew to a close, the SmartAgri team gathered for a group photo at the booth and expressed its appreciation for the enthusiasm shown over the three days, framing the exhibition as a starting point rather than an endpoint. The connections made at JIExpo Kemayoran, the team hopes, will grow into partnerships that carry campus research further into the field, in support of national food security and sustainable agriculture.
